Fundle's Charity Repository is a database of great organizations working hard to make this world a better place to live. We created the database with the mission to make NGO data more accessible , to encourage people to take action for the causes they care about, to help find the right organizations to support and get behind, and to generate more funds and publicity for them.
In our beta release, we published 200 NGOs on Fundle for testing in a live environment. By the end of the year, our goal is to increase that number to 3000. We also work on a solution to help publishers integrate NGO data to their platforms, such as online magazines, blogs, and newsletters.
We launched our Charity Repository by the end of October 2021, and it is currently in Public Beta, meaning you might experience any sorts of bugs while browsing our database. If you come by any issues regarding the platform, please report them to us with our contact form.
Fundle helps to find sympathetic organizations for people who'd like to give. We created dedicated end pages for each NGO, displaying the following information:
While we're in BETA, you can find about 200 organizations in our database. All pieces of information and creative assets on Fundle are curated manually from information accessible from the internet. We inspected thousands of organization websites in the past year. We also have a collection of data acquired from other international sources' public and paid APIs such as Charity Navigator, CharityBase, GuideStar, and other databases. Curating these resources we closely look into the data and customize it by the categorization stated above. There also are organizations in our database that register their data Proprio to Fundle. We create similar organization recommendations on the end pages based on the data curated by us (e.g., suggesting more humanitarian organizations if you're on a page of a humanitarian organization.) Fundle does not use recommendations based on your or any user's internet activity by any means.
We sort organizations by activity in the following 16 main categories:
We also classify causes by NGO activity. We have 500+ category tags used to help our recommendation system. Currently, all these classifications are entirely manually done.
Fundle does not offer custom payment solutions for donations and does not interact with any money in the payment processes. Anyone browsing Fundle and pledges to donate to an organization uses the organization's own payment solution directly on their website (through payment gateways, like PayPal or Stripe, SaaS products like DonorBox or Pledge, etc.) Fundle does not record or track any information from users regarding their donations or payments. In addition, Fundle does not collect money from organizations to receive gifts.
Though we carefully curate all information on our platform, we might provide dated information or dated assets in our database. If you experience or notice any issue regarding data on Fundle, you can suggest an edit under the NGO info boxes in the end pages. Every feedback and suggestion is then implemented into the database manually by a curator. We usually execute these changes in 72 hours.
Fundle's charity repository is a database, not a social media platform. Organizations do not have — and in the near future will not have — user profiles. You can register your organization to our database by clicking here. Your organization will appear in our lists within 72 hours after registration. We might ask you regarding the information you provided before making your NGO public in the Charity Repository. You can take a deeper look into how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy. Throughout the registration, we will ask for the following data:
If there's an organization that you don't find on Fundle but think would be an ideal fit for our database, you can recommend an organization to us, and we'll publish it to our database or contact them if needed. In addition, you can suggest a new organization on our contact page.
If your NGO is being displayed on Fundle’s Charity Repository against your will, and you would like us to delete it, please request it at mail@fundleapp.com and the entry will be terminated in 72 hours.
Charity Bundles are a weekly curated collection of impactful organizations by causes. We not only showcase them on Fundle, but we send them out to our subscribed users via newsletters every week. Currently, these collections are collected manually by Fundle's curators, still, our plans for Bundles are to open it up for curators of all kinds, like professionals of fields, NGO representatives, and for the public. You can check out Charity Bundles here.
