Kurzgesagt – German for „In a nutshell“ is a Munich-based YouTube channel and design studio with a unique design, color, and storytelling perspective. We engage in information design projects of all kinds but are best known for our distinctive animation videos. We want our work to raise awareness for science, space, technology, biology, history, and philosophy. Our goal is to inspire people to learn – and we believe humor and an excellent story to tell are just as important as straight facts.

Protecting children is at the heart of everything we do. For over 25 years, since the early days of the internet, our job has been to help child victims of sexual abuse by hunting down and removing any online record of the abuse.
